A Day in the Life of the Enterprise Sales Intern:

Launch your career at the forefront of B2B innovation by joining us as a Business Solutions Enterprise Sales Intern, a role designed for high-achieving young professionals ready to master the modern sales cycle. In this dynamic position, you will move beyond the sidelines to identify and qualify high-value leads, analyze competitor maneuvers, and decode market trends to pinpoint critical business needs.

Working in lockstep with Sales leadership and Marketing experts, you will drive outbound prospecting, spearhead targeted marketing campaigns, and schedule the qualification meetings that fuel our growth, providing you with a high-impact foundation for a future in enterprise leadership.
This is a 3 to 6-month internship with the opportunity to convert to a regular Astound employee as an Account Executive, if eligible after the internship.

  • Build and qualify prospecting lists for the sales team by segmenting businesses based on size, industry, and proximity to the network.
  • Analyze competitor activity and market trends to identify potential opportunities.
  • Conduct research to uncover potential leads within specific industries, such as logistics, technology, legal services, and businesses with multiple locations.
  • Utilize resources like Zoom Info, Linked In Sales Navigator, mapping software, and various company databases to gather relevant information.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone calls and face-to-face outreach to schedule qualification meetings.
  • Join qualification/discovery calls with sales representatives to observe and participate in sales conversations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on pipeline progress, conversion metrics, and lead generation sources to aid in accurate forecasting and decision-making.
  • Gather valuable information from all available sources, customer feedback, and industry data/news to narrow in on areas for improvement and potential opportunities.
  • Performs basic evaluations on location and documentation of building occupancy, property management, competition, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum of 3 months experience in a customer service or leadership role (work or college activity related are both acceptable)
  • Understanding of CRM systems (Sugar, Salesforce, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach (calls, emails, face-to-face) to engage prospects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets for data analysis.
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and excited about sales.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess a Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record per Company Policy

Education and

Certifications:

  • High School Diploma required;
    Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or recently graduated (last 18 months) preferred
