Job Summary

Under limited supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality. This is a 3rd shift position.

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, and ancillary equipment as needed.
• Perform routine troubleshooting of assigned out-of-service equipment; correct issues, act as an escalation point for lower level technicians, and escalate to leadership and/or more senior technicians as needed. Record all maintenance issues in the maintenance log for each line.
• Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate; maintain accurate records of operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems that are tested on a routine basis.
• Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.
• Assist maintenance mechanics in work that requires two people or when operational needs demand.
• Perform facility/building project work as assigned (e.g., light bulb/ballast replacement, door repairs, furniture installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry, plumbing repairs) and assemble/test equipment to verify proper operation; analyze and record causes of production delays and initiate corrective actions; examine defects and determine corrective actions and verify effectiveness.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or equipment repair and maintenance
• Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment
• Fabrication maintenance experience
• Basic skill level in multiple computer software packages including Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and ability to troubleshoot these systems
• Willingness to learn new equipment as it is brought online
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs, work at heights, and/or from a ladder; ability to work with hands above head
• Willingness to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift)
• Ability to write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers
• Ability to read information, including drawings
• Commitment to safety procedures (Lock Out/Tag Out) and use of PPE; maintain a safe work environment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

• Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent
• Graduation from an apprenticeship program or current trade certification
• At least 3 years of experience in a building maintenance position
• Process RO, steam & boilers experience

• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily; frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
• Stand for 8 to 12 hours, up to 6 days a week
• Ascend/descend from ladders and stairs; work at heights
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift) as needed
• Follow safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out and use PPE
• Ability to work overtime and be available for on-call requests as needed

The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position

$28.50 - $41.25 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
