The part-time/seasonal Parks Maintenance position performs a variety of park operational assignments. Parks duties may include mowing, athletic fields, trash collection, landscaping, special events, and general maintenance and repair projects.
Minimum Age for this position is 18
Part-Time Wages
JOB SPECIFIC INFORMATION- Perform routine maintenance of park grounds, including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, seeding, and sod installation.
- Maintain athletic fields by setting up, lining, grading, installing bases, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Operate trucks, mowers, power tools, tractors, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with construction, installation, and repair projects, including playgrounds, site furniture, fencing, and pavement.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, ice rink construction, painting, and facility cleaning.
- Follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean work environment, and submit daily work logs
- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Minimum age of 18 is required
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance, general construction, or applicable trade
- Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- Valid Illinois Driver’s License
- CPR and AED Certification preferred
