Description: This position provides custodial and personal care services to clients that contract with Assisting Hands Home Care.
Education: High School Diploma/GED required;
Current Nursing Assistant Certification with the Board of Nursing in good standing.
Qualifications: Must have completed and provide evidence of formal training and certification as a Nursing Assistant per state law and regulation. One (1) year experience in home or long-term care preferred.
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Primary Duties:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client’s residence, including light cleaning and organization.
- Perform personal care activities as detailed in the Plan of Care, such as assisting with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and transfers.
- Provide nutritional support as needed.
- Report changes in the client’s condition.
- Assist with device use, range of motion exercises, household routines, and medication self-administration under supervision.
- Follow infection control policies and agency procedures.
Hours: Shifts available 24/7 depending on assignment and availability. Hours are not guaranteed.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly
Compensation: $14.50/hour
