Next Play Jobs is happy to partner with a well-established organization with over a century of continuous operation. We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join its team in the Northwest Chicago suburbs
. This company delivers complex HVAC projects across a variety of environments and continues to grow its presence nationwide.
- Negotiate contract scope, buy-outs, and prepare purchase orders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Oversee project organization, estimating, scheduling, execution, and closeout across multiple HVAC projects
- Manage financial aspects of projects including forecasting, manpower planning, job cost tracking, and monthly billings
- Monitor installations to ensure work aligns with company standards and project specifications
- Communicate project status, changes, schedules, and expectations clearly and professionally
- Manage scope of work, pricing, approvals, change orders, and issue resolution
- Partner closely with field staff to assess workload, manpower needs, and job status
- Follow up with stakeholders throughout project execution to ensure satisfaction
- Proactively communicate risks, challenges, and successes to leadership
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely release of equipment and materials
- 3+ years of HVAC experience (project management, estimating, and/or field experience)
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
- Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of construction processes including RFIs, RFPs, and change orders
- Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes
- Proficiency with Autodesk, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical schematics
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- $100,000–$120,000 base salary
, depending on experience and qualifications - Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
