The Technology Leader plays a critical role in the long-term success of this client. The focus of this position is to embrace and understand HVAC / BAS industry trends, along with the new technologies and feature sets that the manufacturers the client represents are incorporating in their offerings to address the industry changes. This position is brand agnostic and will encompass a wide range of product types.
Keyresponsibilities
- Build relationships with technical and product management staff at key manufacturers.
- Attend NPI, technology, networking, and other related training as necessary.
- Participate in local industry affiliation events and training when applicable.
- Summarize knowledge learned into an organized, trainable format when applicable.
- Organize, and assemble training sessions for internal employees and customers.
- Become the trusted customer and employee advisor for new products or technologies.
- Consult with design engineers, and IT networking professionals on technology implementation.
- Participate in new product analysis and review with other team members.
- Participate in product marketing campaigns as needed.
- Assist with technical support / engineering as needed.
- Maintain informational databases and training materials as needed.
- IT / OT networking experience and be able to have a technical conversation at the IT professional level regarding system functionality and requirements as it relates to BAS implementation.
- Must have the desire for continuous learning and the ability to share knowledge with others.
- Excellent communicator with a passion to share knowledge and train others.
- Familiar with cyber security methods and best practices.
- Experience in design, licensing, and troubleshooting BAS controls as it relates to HVAC.
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and with others to produce results.
- A big picture, broad spectrum thinker that can understand the changes in technology and how they can be an advantage or disadvantage for the client.
- Be willing to travel as needed for training and the support of customers.
- A willingness to mentor and supervise others as needed.
- Be marketing minded, with ideas of how to adopt new offerings into the product portfolio.
$110,000 to $120,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
