The Administrator at New Summit Rehabilitation & Healthcare is a passionate, team-centered leader responsible for the overall operation, performance, and culture of the facility. This role focuses on staff engagement, regulatory compliance, census growth, hospital relationships, and financial stewardship while ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities – Culture & Engagement
  • Lead with a visible, people-first leadership style
  • Build and sustain a positive, accountable workplace culture
  • Support department leaders through coaching and collaboration
  • Maintain strong connections with residents and families
Key Responsibilities – Regulatory & Compliance
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with IDPH, CMS, and state/federal regulations
  • Maintain survey readiness and lead response to surveys and complaints
  • Oversee Plans of Correction and sustain compliance
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of IDPH F-tags and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities – Census, Private Pay & Hospital Relations
  • Drive occupancy growth across Medicare, Managed Care, and Private Pay
  • Build and maintain strong hospital and referral source relationships
  • Participate in hospital meetings and outcome-based discussions
  • Support length-of-stay management and rehospitalization reduction
  • Ensure adherence to approved budgets and operational guidelines
  • Monitor staffing efficiency, labor utilization, and expense controls
  • Partner with executive leadership on financial and operational performance
  • Support private-pay strategies and revenue optimization
Qualifications
  • Skilled nursing or post-acute leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of IDPH and CMS regulations
  • Proven leadership in culture-building, census growth, and operations
