Hourly Pay Range
$28.47 - $42.71 - The hourly pay rate depends on experience and other factors.

Northwest Community Hospital - Full Time/Part Time:
Part Time, 20 hours - Hours:
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
- Conduct tissue specimen processing: receiving, accessioning, preparing, embedding, sectioning, staining, mounting slides.
- Adhere to quality control measures, ensuring slide accuracy and reliability.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes and tissue processors; examine slides for abnormalities.
- Perform staining techniques: H&E, immunohistochemistry, special stains to enhance visibility and aid diagnosis.
- Maintain records of specimen processing, staining procedures, and quality control data; document discrepancies and correct actions.
- Monitor and restock laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and healthcare providers to discuss findings and ensure timely reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) or Certified Histotechnician (HT) – ASCP Board of Certification required.
- 1 year experience in a histology laboratory required.
- Experience with microtomy, staining, and analyzing instruments within a histology lab setting (Leica Bond, Benchmark Ultra, H&E Stainer etc.).
