We are looking for a creative, hardworking, and reliable individual who is eager to work with children, teens, and caregivers while assisting us with our summer reading program. You will be part of a team organizing and preparing various aspects of the program, representing the library at the summer reading table and providing direction and coaching to our teen volunteers.
This position is designed to give MLIS/Education students experience in assisting with program development and learning how to provide excellent customer service while working with seasoned library professionals in a public library setting.
Requirements & Skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and excel in Our Culture.
- Ability to communicate clearly and use various technologies to complete work.
- Comfortable engaging with children of all ages.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred candidates will be currently enrolled in an undergraduate education or MLIS program.
- Part time position, approximately 19 hours per week.
- Must be available for day, evening and weekend hours from approximately May 22 through July 31.
No benefits.
