Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role is essential in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The Senior Accountant will play a key role reporting, month-end close, and financial analysis to support the organization’s financial health.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in the budgeting process by providing insights and forecasts based on historical data.
• Conduct thorough general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate recording of employee hours and deductions.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
• Maintain organized documentation for all accounting transactions and audits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Intacct or similar applications.
• Experience using Service Titan or similar home services software is preferred
• Strong knowledge of budgeting processes and financial forecasting techniques.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries is essential.
• Familiarity with GAAP standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for success in this role.
• Previous experience in inventory accounting is a plus but not required.
