Job DescriptionThe Accountant provides financial information and reports by primarily preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, assisting with monthly and year‑end closings, and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Salary range: $72,000 – $80,000
. This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.
- Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances.
- Address payment issues such as double payments or other discrepancies.
- Engage in collection management processes as needed.
- Prepare general ledger journal entries.
- Complete general ledger operations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
- Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
- Assist with preparation for and coordination of the audit process.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
- Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
- Complete accounting and finance related special projects as directed by superiors.
- Research, pay, and journalize property tax invoices, coordinating with the Tax team for renditions filing.
- Bachelor’s degree required; minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Demonstrated technical accounting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with various reporting and presentation of data.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Practical knowledge of Lawson ERP.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer‑focused and quality‑driven mindset.
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate.
- Related degrees in Business or Finance fields.
- Advanced Excel skills.
