ELECTRICIAN

Responsibilities

• Execution of the Planned and Preventive Electrical/Maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for installing, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
• Responsible for troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, motor controls, AC/DC drives, and medium voltage switch gears.
• Be able to read and interpret equipment drawings, P&IDs, one line diagrams, and schematics.
• Effectively diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components.
• Improve equipment reliability and optimize resources.
• Maintain logs, and record labor, materials and equipment used.
• Proficient use of electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, ammeters, meggers, and instrument loop calibrators.
• Ability to install and setup variable frequency drives.
• Participate in breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, focused improvement, and 5S projects.
• Ensure all workers adhere to local, state, and national codes and regulations.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Electronics technician community college degree or licensed journeyman electrical license.
• Minimum of 3 years industrial electrician experience.
• One year of in-plant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work independently and utilize critical problem solving and decision-making skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process.
• Must maintain compliance within all LOTO, confined space, hot work, and working at heights policies.
• OSHA 10 training and experience.
• Experience with variable speed drives;
  Siemens drive knowledge a plus.
• Experience with PLC installation and troubleshooting;
  Siemens PLC knowledge a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all mechanical tasks, jobs, and repairs.
• Ability to work extended hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds as required.
