Maintenance Technician (Manufactured Home Community)

Must have building and/or property maintenance experience!

Summary of Position

We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, etc. We seek dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will work autonomously, observe all health and safety guidelines, and take pride in the standards and services delivered to our residents.

INTERNAL REPORTING RELATIONSHIP(S)

Community Manager

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

• Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems; conduct repairs as needed
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems for functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs
• Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
• Undertake pest control activities such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep and other assigned tasks
• Maintain grounds and landscaping
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence
• Mow, weed, and trim hedges; perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Physically capable of manual labor including lifting, bending, and reaching
• Positive attitude with willingness to lead and work as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• High value on quality work and self-supervisory skills
• Basic understanding of plumbing and systems
• Knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience in building maintenance technology or relevant field is a plus
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desirable
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
