Inizio Engage is partnering with a leading organisation in the ophthalmology space to recruit an ambitious Area Sales Manager for the East Anglia region. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to own a high-potential territory and drive growth within a specialist therapeutic area.
About the RoleAs the Area Sales Manager, you will develop and execute a strategic sales plan across your territory. You will manage key accounts, build strong relationships with NHS and private healthcare professionals, and promote a respected portfolio within glaucoma and ocular surface therapy
. You will lead your territory with autonomy while being supported by a collaborative team of clinical and commercial specialists.
- Lead and develop relationships with key clinical and commercial stakeholders across the South West region.
- Drive growth across existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.
- Deliver high‑quality product education and support to healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement a territory sales strategy informed by market dynamics and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and territory plans in line with company standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and optimal customer outcomes.
- Represent the company at regional meetings, conferences, and industry events>
- Hold a valid ABPI certification (essential).
- Have proven experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare commercial roles.
- Be confident engaging with senior healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and territory management skills.
- Be driven to own and grow a territory while contributing to wider team success.
- Have the ambition to progress into senior Key Account Management or commercial leadership roles.
- Ophthalmology experience is advantageous but not essential.
