• Provide a friendly greeting to all customers upon entering the store or on the phone.
• Get to know customers and use their name; make customers feel important and valued.
• Move quickly to provide fast service and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
• Suggest add-on items when appropriate; be friendly, respectful, and polite.
• Maintain good communication; work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Stay busy between customers; be flexible and willing to help associates and customers.
• Multi-task and complete multiple tasks independently; ensure proper notice when absent and be dependable and punctual.
• Maintain cleanliness and order: stock, front-face merchandise, clean restrooms, parking lot, windows and doors, and general shop upkeep.
• Check for out-of-date merchandise and proper merchandise placement on the sales counter.

• Must be in physically good shape and able to stand during the shift.
• Must be able to work in a cooler at 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have visual acuity to check identification and process money orders.
• Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
• Must be able to react to a fire using a 30 lb fire extinguisher.
• Must be able to do basic math at the eighth-grade level.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English and communicate with customers in English.
