About the Role:

PRN RN AGREEMENT AT STONE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER, SHIFTS AND HOURS VARY. 12 HOUR SHIFTS ON MED/SURG FLOOR AND EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT WHEN NEEDED.

The Registered Nurse (PRN Agreement) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care within the healthcare facility. This position is designed for flexible staffing needs, allowing the nurse to provide support during peak times or staff shortages. The primary goal is to ensure that patients receive timely and effective medical attention, contributing to their overall health and recovery. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.

Ultimately, this role is vital in maintaining the standards of care and enhancing the patient experience in our facility.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health status and care needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, responding promptly to changes in condition.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for evaluating patient conditions and determining appropriate interventions. Effective communication skills are necessary for educating patients and collaborating with the healthcare team.
