Summary

This position is responsible for day to day operations producing quality ingredients for the dog food industry. The General Production Worker is responsible for ensuring production procedures are carried out in such a way as to maximize efficiency while keeping safety as a top priority

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.

Work under the guidance of Management to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.

Operate lift trucks, bobcat, and other heavy equipment in a safe manner.

Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

Adherence to health and safety regulations. (e.g. constant use of protective gear)

“Lead by Example” by creating a work environment which reflects a commitment to employee safety, product quality, food safety, and positive employee relations.

Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety requirements.

Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.

Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

Ability to follow established procedures and practices.

Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.

Must be able to read, write, and verbally express themselves in a way understandable to others. Able to follow oral and written instructions.

Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.

Ability to endure work conditions consisting of dust, dirt, wet conditions, non-climate controlled

Shifts 8 hours, Overtime as needed

Bending, lifting over the head, standing

Education & Experience Level

High school or GED required
