Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated effectively to the team members and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
- Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
- Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
- Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
- Applicants will be considered for any refrigeration maintenance Tech position open. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
- Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends. Some departments are hot/wet, and some are cold/wet. Position requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet.
- Requires high school education, and/or industrial maintenance training or equivalent experience.
- Requires using SCBA equipment. All other duties assigned by management.
- Applicants must have at least 6 months’ industrial refrigeration experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration. Position requires passing a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical and be recertified each year to maintain position. Requires being clean shaven to get a proper fit while using SCBA equipment.
