Job Overview:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for the direct management and leadership for an assigned sales market. The ASM leads the direction, execution, and reporting of outcomes to ensure expected revenue goals are met. The ASM also ensures the delivery of a business plan by leading the Sales and Delivery organization, identifying opportunities, establishing goals, balancing stakeholders, managing business changes, securing new program benefits, monitoring key performance metrics, and managing resources efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities- Coaches, teaches, and trains District Sales Managers to successfully deliver results
- Drives RED improvement and collaborates with Coca-Cola North America (CCNA) and other stakeholders to grow market share and develop teammates
- Fosters a fun, results‑driven work environment that achieves results in a safe, professional, and ethical setting
- Provides honest assessments of team members for effectiveness, development, and resources for learning, creating strategic development plans for continuous improvement and career growth
- Owns customer service, relationships, and growth with internal and external stakeholders through positive, profitable selling relationships with key customers to drive commercial plan execution
- Leads community relationship strengthening through collaboration and sharing of best practices, influencing solutions for national and local customers to grow profitably
- Defines Look of Success (LOS) and ensures understanding through effective communication and accountability, tracking and reporting results accurately
- Delivers the operating plan by managing all relevant activities, including administrative duties, supporting the business plan, and establishing a positive rapport within the assigned market communities
- Leads cross‑functional collaboration by partnering with functional departments, including Warehouse leaders, to meet and exceed shared expectations
- Establishes management routines to maintain communication across departments; provides input on merchandising standards, set integrity, product supply, forecasts, capacity efficiencies, and inventory risks to maximize revenue
- Manages, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, deadlines, and engaging teammates through performance management, coaching, and training
- Implements continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus and embodies company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership

- 7 years progressive management experience in soft drink, beverage industry or related industry strongly preferred
- Excellent PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- High school diploma required; college degree strongly preferred
- Collaboration with internal and external customers; inspires and motivates others; aspires to train and develop others
- Strong communication on all platforms
- Managerial courage
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge acquired through 5–7 years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but not required
