Maintenance and grounds upkeep.

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and versatile Groundskeeping & Maintenance Technician to join our school district team. This role is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of our outdoor spaces, as well as assisting with general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is a "jack-of-all-trades" who is comfortable operating heavy lawn machinery, performing manual labor in various weather conditions, and handling basic equipment repairs.

• Groundskeeping & Landscaping:
  • Lawn Care:
    Perform routine mowing, weed‑eating, and edging of all grass areas.
  • Detailing:
    Trim and shape hedges, shrubs, and small trees to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Debris Removal:
    Proactively pick up trash, fallen limbs, and organic debris across the property.
  • Seasonal Cleanup:
    Use blowers to clear leaves, clippings, and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  • Small Engine Repair:
    Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, spark plug replacement, blade sharpening) on mowers, weed‑eaters, blowers, and other small engines.
  • Tool Care:
    Ensure all hand tools and power equipment are cleaned, stored properly, and in safe working order.
• Facility Maintenance & Specialized Tasks:
  • Power Washing:
    Operate high‑pressure washers to clean building exteriors, walkways, and equipment.
  • Floor Care:
    Use industrial floor machines (scrubbers/mops) for interior maintenance as needed.
  • General Repairs:
    Assist with "other duties as assigned," which may include basic painting, light bulb replacement, or minor plumbing/mechanical fixes.
• Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience:
    
    Previous experience in professional landscaping or facility maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Ability to troubleshoot and repair small gas engines and lawn equipment.
  • Physical Stamina:
    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, light rain).

Full‑time

$24,000 to $36,000 Per Year
