What You Will Do

As a front desk team member, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their stay through warm and memorable experiences. You will handle check‑in, provide local recommendations, and resolve issues confidently while reflecting the spirit of the mountains.

Essential Functions

• Welcome and check in guests with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency
• Ensure accurate guest information, proper payment methods, and fulfillment of special requests
• Create positive first and lasting impressions through genuine guest engagement
• Provide local knowledge and insight to help guests make the most of their stay in the Heber Valley and Park City area
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly, turning challenges into opportunities to WOW our guests
• Promote and sell hotel amenities, upgrades, and special programs to enhance the guest experience
• Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including managing a house bank, posting charges, and processing deposits or refunds
• Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure guest needs are met quickly and accurately
• Stay familiar with hotel services, safety procedures, and emergency protocols
• Support other departments as needed to maintain seamless service throughout the property
• Uphold Black Rock Mountain Resort’s values of People First, Integrity, and Excellence in every guest and team interaction

Qualifications

• Preferred previous experience in a customer‑facing role such as Front Desk Agent, Guest Services, or Customer Support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural passion for hospitality
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
• Comfortable using computer systems and hotel property management software (training provided)
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• High school diploma or equivalent required
