The Caithness Social Work Team is looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our busy service.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for social work enquiries, providing basic information and advice.
- Support our systems and procedures, and ensure accurate maintenance of social work databases.
Qualifications and skills:
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, confident working both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
This is a permanent full‑time post of 37 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with service requirements, and will be based at William Smith House, Thurso.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

Additional information for candidates- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
