Analyst II, Finance

The location in Ashdown, Arkansas, United States, is seeking a full-time permanent Analyst II, Finance.

Primary responsibilities are a combination of both cost and financial accounting. The position requires:

• Preparation of management reports utilizing both sales, cost, and statistical information.
• Analytical reviews of trends, variances and scenario-based impacts.
• Assist with the implementation and interpretation of US GAAP and all other relevant accounting guidance (including Domtar policy).
• Perform relevant accounting research and prepare memos on accounting treatment.
• Train and provide guidance on new and recurring accounting guidance.
• Special projects as directed.
• Ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance in processes and controls.

• Candidates must have a BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates who have successfully completed or are working towards a CPA designation are preferred.

• Experience with application-based and server-based software (SAP), analytical ability, planning and organizational skills.
• Significant experience with the application of US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables; experience with SAP is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and to “think outside the box”.
• Works well in a team-based environment while also working independently on individual tasks.
