The location in Ashdown, Arkansas, United States, is seeking a full-time permanent Analyst II, Finance.
Job DescriptionPrimary responsibilities are a combination of both cost and financial accounting. The position requires:
- Preparation of management reports utilizing both sales, cost, and statistical information.
- Analytical reviews of trends, variances and scenario-based impacts.
- Assist with the implementation and interpretation of US GAAP and all other relevant accounting guidance (including Domtar policy).
- Perform relevant accounting research and prepare memos on accounting treatment.
- Train and provide guidance on new and recurring accounting guidance.
- Special projects as directed.
- Ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance in processes and controls.
- Candidates must have a BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates who have successfully completed or are working towards a CPA designation are preferred.
- Experience with application-based and server-based software (SAP), analytical ability, planning and organizational skills.
- Significant experience with the application of US GAAP.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and to “think outside the box”.
- Works well in a team-based environment while also working independently on individual tasks.
