Overview

The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) invites applications for an academic Graduate Assistantship within the Department of Exercise and Sport Science ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). Academic graduate assistants are assigned to a research lab and/or academic course supervised by one or more faculty members. The department offers undergraduate degrees in exercise science and physical education, and graduate degrees in athletic training, exercise science and sport management.

Areas of research emphasis include exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport-related concussions, pain management, and sport leadership. The department values inclusive pedagogy and the UCA Center for Teaching Excellence and Academic Leadership () is an available resource to assist faculty to thrive professionally and personally. Full-time (20 hours a week) and part-time (10 hours a week) positions are available.

  • Knowledge of social media marketing and website design

Required

Education and/or Experience

Must have a completed bachelor’s degree in athletic training, exercise science, kinesiology, or related field by the date of appointment. Must be fully admitted to the UCA Graduate School.
