We are seeking an energetic, skilled Driver – Class CDL A for openings in our facility in Arkansas City, KS
. We operate 24/7, 7 days per week. Shift is 1:30 p‑9:30 p, this opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

Summary

Perform daily transportation functions by operating a diesel‑powered tractor‑trailer. The driver will be responsible for transporting raw materials and finished good products between warehouse and manufacturing facility locally.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Kan Pak Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at Kan Pak.
  • Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long‑range goals and objectives for business growth.
  • Operate diesel‑powered tractor‑trailer.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
  • Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips.
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations.
  • Always make safety a priority.
  • Operate forklift / powered industrial truck as needed.
  • Pick up and return pallets, shells and assigned product at each delivery location.

  • Maintain compliance with Kan Pak/GSF Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety and other regulations.
  • Act according to Kan Pak’s Creed & Values.
Required Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL license.
  • Driving record must meet Kan Pak policy requirements.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays as directed by the business.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds.
  • As required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, commercial drivers must read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand highway signs and traffic signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries in reports and records.

  • Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely, with certification where required.
