Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time JANITOR position at Henderson State University, 1100 Henderson Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71999. Openings are also available in other district locations. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday; hours may vary. Full‑time schedule. Further details will be provided during the interview.

Requirement:
Prior janitorial experience preferred; willing to train.

Fixed Pay Rate: $11.00 per hour.

Maintains the cleanliness and order of buildings. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall washing, and rubbish removal.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and restore furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
