Warehouse Clerk

Overview

Technical Professionals Group, LLC is seeking a motivated, dependable and safe Warehouse Clerk to support and accurately distribute materials in/from the Warehouse Department for a large copper mining company in Hayden, AZ.

• Receive and issue warehouse material.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins.
• Open bales, crates and other containers.
• Input necessary data into the computer.
• Prepare Over Short & Damage (OS&D) and shipping notices.
• Conducts periodic physical inventory of stocked items.
• Coordinate and prepare requisitions for materials and supplies.
• Count all warehouse stock for inventory control.
• Maintain the warehouse and yard, keeping clean and orderly to ensure items are efficiently stored / displayed.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Other duties assigned.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate equipment (i.e. Forklifts, 2 Ton Trucks).
• General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Software, MIMS).
• Prior warehouse experience a plus
• Basic Mathematical and Reading/Comprehension skills
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
• Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred
• Freight handling experience preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• MSHA certification preferred and will be required to obtain

• Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items of up to 30 lbs and more
• Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
• The warehouse environment may be dusty, noisy and open to interior temperature changes (hot weather)
