Basic Function:
This is an on-call position for a certified Pilates Reformer instructor and Yoga instructor who can instruct private guests in all level Pilates Reformer and Yoga sessions.
Shift: Open availability, weekends included, part time.
Work Performed- Lead sessions as described above and provide instruction to guests in the gym area.
- Effectively communicate the spa’s health and fitness philosophy to guests.
- Understand anatomy and physiology.
- Arrive at work fifteen minutes prior to starting time wearing your nametag and proper uniform to ensure ready for guests.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled training sessions and meetings.
- Be an active participant in the department by contributing to new programs and development ideas.
- Be guest service oriented and interact with guests in a pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic manner.
- Perform classes and sessions in a safe manner in compliance with all recognized standards.
- Ensure proper supplies are gathered for each class or session including sign‑in log, and all related safety equipment.
- Provide clear and appropriate directions for guests for overall safety.
- Display appropriate teamwork, flexibility and interpersonal skills.
- Always follow all Department standards of operations.
- Provide a safe, clean, personal, entertaining and well thought out class or session that exceeds guests’ expectations.
- Always maintain confidentiality of Mii Amo information.

Supervision Received:
Fitness and Nutrition Manager
High school diploma or GED, and/or equivalent work experience. Pilates Reformer Certification and/or Registered Yoga Teacher certification are required. More than one certification is preferred. 1‑3 years recent experience teaching Pilates Reformer and/or Yoga classes. Ability to assess the fitness level and special needs of the class participants and modify the class accordingly. Attention to detail and able to multi‑task many priorities.
Self‑motivated ability to work with little supervision and organized. Must be dependable. Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to lead guests in safe and professional manner. Must display a healthy well‑balanced body, a neat appearance, a caring attitude and the ability to communicate clearly and simply. Safety sensitive position.
5% sitting. 95% walking, standing & bending including exercise for specific class or session. Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. Hearing and manual dexterity. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
