Senior Software Engineer - Software Integrations

As a Software Engineer working on software Integrations, you will play a critical role in building internal software that powers hardware design, system integration, and business process automation across our satellite development programs. You’ll work closely with hardware, production, supply chain, and software teams to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and scale tools to support our growing fleet of spacecraft. This role supports both commercial and US Government satellite programs.

• Design, implement, and maintain software systems and applications that support hardware engineering, manufacturing, and operational workflows.
• Integrate with key hardware design, manufacturing and procurement systems such as Altium, Arena, and Net Suite to enable seamless data flow and process alignment.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to eliminate manual steps and increase velocity across engineering and business operations.
• Build intuitive, performant user interfaces that provide insights into workflow progress, efficiency metrics, and historical trends.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, refine workflows, and propose scalable software solutions.
• Own features through the full development lifecycle — from concept and architecture through implementation, test, and deployment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical background.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in environments supporting physical product development.
• Proficiency with Python or similar high-level object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and REST/Graph
  
  QL API integrations.
• Experience deploying backend services to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Background in building data pipelines and working with performant warehouses/data lakes (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks).

• Familiarity with manufacturing, logistics, and hardware design tools (Altium, Arena, Netsuite, First Resonance, Manufacturo, …)
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits. Base pay is a component of Astranis  total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(k) retirement, and on-site catered meals.

Astranis pay ranges are informed by compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered will be influenced by experience, credentials & certifications, education, skill level, and the level and scope of the position.

Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 USD
