Golf Maintenance Irrigation Technician - Vr Day Shift

Position: GOLF MAINTENANCE IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN - VR - FULL-TIME - DAY SHIFT

STARTING RATE D.O.E.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver's License and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintain all aspects of the golf course irrigation system.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required 3 years experience with golf course irrigation systems. Must have the experience necessary to identify and correct irrigation problems that affect turf quality. Must be a highly motivated individual, able to follow directions and be attentive to detail.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Repair, operate, and maintain the irrigation system operations on the golf course, club house, and pumping station.

Perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Follow all safety rules and procedures and report irregularities and equipment problems immediately.

Maintain a constant level of communication with supervisors and mechanics.

Work as a team to complete tasks and to maintain a harmonious work environment.

Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

• Set and maintain high standards for upkeep of course to make a positive impact with guests.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects over 75 pounds, crouching, long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities or crawling in restricted areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves, and boots.
