Position Overview

Join the SXEW Technician 1 role at Capstone Copper Pinto Valley. This entry‑level position focuses on general labor duties within the Processing Operations SX/EW team, with opportunities to advance to SXEW Tech 2 and SXEW Tech 3 Operator.

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and Capstone’s Values in Action.
• Perform vehicle inspections and basic upkeep.
• Clean and organize equipment and facilities.
• Operate forklift safely.
• Maintain tool safety and area inspections.
• Stay aware of equipment startup alarms, lifting techniques, confined space procedures.
• Follow lock‑out‑tag‑out‑test‑out (LOTOTO) and equipment safety device protocols.
• Secure load and identify electrical and mechanical components.
• Train employees as needed.
• Participate in line‑out and safety meetings, contributing to safety discussions and operational efficiency.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
• Work in a physically demanding environment within an SX‑EW Tankhouse with potential contact with hazardous materials.

• Entry‑level position – no previous mining work experience is required.
• Ability to safely perform job duties and interest in learning the Solvent Extraction process.
• Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write in English with respect to job assignments, procedures, and applicable safety standards.
• May be required to wear a half‑face respirator; clean‑shaven required.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
• Previous experience performing related work in a safety‑sensitive environment.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.

All candidates will be required to complete a pre‑employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, background check, and a pre‑placement physical examination to ensure fitness for duty. Capstone maintains a drug and alcohol‑free workplace.
