Pastry Chef- Executive Chef

Requirements

• Must be a Canadian resident
• Good understanding of baking terms and following recipes
• Post-secondary education in culinary arts is an asset
• Work experience in baking from previous employers is applicable
• Full-time, 5‑day week employment
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Physically demanding role; ability to learn quickly and perform repetitive tasks

• Making breads, scones, cookies, cinnamon buns, squares, pies
• Operating heavy‑duty and smaller mixers to combine ingredients
• Maintaining a calm demeanor during high‑volume periods to keep the bakery operating to standard and set a positive example for the team
• Communicating information to supervisors and managers so the team can respond accordingly
• Keeping the bakery clean and orderly by performing cleaning duties (floors, mixers, surface areas)
• Maintaining regular and punctual attendance standards for efficient operation
• Following all café operating policies and standards, including product quality, store safety and security
