Pay: $16.15 per hour
Schedule:
Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

- Maintain and operate all hand and power tools including lawn mowers, edgers, trimmers, etc.
- Maintain and operate automatic sprinkler system including determining and executing proper irrigation schedules for shrub areas.
- Maintain and care for vegetation including disease identification, fertilization, trimming, pruning, transplanting, and planting.
- Learn and execute National Park Service requirements and guidelines as they apply to horticulture and landscaping.
- Maintain fire defensive perimeter around assigned buildings.
- If necessary, plow sidewalks for snow removal.
- Trim trees, shrubs and other vegetation as required and properly dispose of clippings.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned power tools and mowers.
- Follow all applicable safety, risk management and environmental policies and procedures.
- Wear all personal protective gear as required in performing job.
- Be available for after hour call out duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum one-year experience in turf and shrub care or landscape maintenance.
- Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver

License within 90 days of start date and comply with the Grand Canyon Lodges Driver Safety Program. - Knowledge of lawn care equipment including use and maintenance.
- Physical ability to complete tasks including ability to push lawn mower, load clippings, ascend and descend ladders.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including summer heat and winter storms.

Stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 40lbs. - Occasionally:
