Duties- Assessment & Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic testing. - Diagnosis:
Identify and diagnose acute, chronic, and complex health conditions. - Treatment Planning:
Develop individualized care plans that address patient needs, including treatment goals and expected outcomes. - Prescribing:
Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical devices.
The selected individual must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation. Continued employment is contingent upon the outcome of a complete background investigation.
Requirements- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must hold a current, full, unrestricted license as a professional nurse from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
- For advanced practice positions, must possess a graduate or higher‑level degree in nursing from an accredited program (CCNE, COA-ANP, ACCME, or equivalent).
- Must have at least one year of professional advanced practice nursing experience equivalent to the GS‑12 grade level.
- Must meet all background investigation, E‑Verify, and immunization requirements.
- At least one year of specialized advanced practice nursing experience equivalent to GS‑13.
- Independent practice as a nurse practitioner, including diagnosing, prescribing, managing acute and chronic care, referring patients as needed, and participating in quality improvement activities.
Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized under a six‑month service agreement. The position is covered by a bargaining unit and is eligible for federal employee benefits.
