The Role Peraton is currently seeking a Network Engineer - LAN/ToR The Network Engineer - LAN/ToR

Roles and Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain continuous operation of Cisco Nexus layer 2 networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data communication networks

* Configure and deploy Cisco ISE for Network access management and Cisco NDFC for network automation and backup configurations

* Perform STIG maintenance to secure IT systems, software and networks for DoD Unclassified and Classified systems.

* Understand and utilize various network protocols to include SSH, VPC, Vlan Trunking, STP and other layer 2 technologies.

* Be familiar with DoD policies, regulations and governance in relation to IT systems

* Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation. Where no documentation exists, assist in developing documentation.

* Utilize tools to monitor and assess network outages such as DX Spectrum.

* Assist with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment or with vendors for third-party support

* Willingness and availability to work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.

* Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.

* Must be able to work with general supervision and follow established procedures.

* Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes
Qualifications 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD Active DoD Secret Clearance SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Benefits Statement:
