As a Systems Engineer Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of US Army/NETCOM. You will play a crucial role in the engineering and support of the U-SIEM task..
* Support the U-SIEM Engineering Team and its customers to ensure mission deliverables are met.

* Collaborate with with the members of the team and coordinate with the customer as directed by the Task Lead.

* Drive timely completions of work with the ability to adapt to changes in tasking assignments.

* Solve varies technical issues.

* Adapt to new technical challenges through research and professional abilities. Work effectively as part of a large, distributed team.

* Utilize Linux OS platform, VMWare virtualization and SIEMs as part of your day to day responsibilities. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

* Education:

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

* Experience:

5+ years of related experience

* Demonstrated experience working with Internet, web, application, and network security techniques.

* Possess an IAT level III certification (CASP, Security

X).

* A working knowledge of Linux operating systems is required.

* Knowledge of Elastic would be preferred.

* Five years' experience writing technical reports related to Authorization & Accreditation (A&A), System Security Plans (SSP), security policies, or guidance.

* Technical skills:

Demonstrated proficiency with Linux, Virtualization platforms and SIEMs.

* Security clearance level:
Secret

* Role requirements:

Literate in popular flavors of Linux. A keen understanding of virtualization platforms is strongly preferred. GDIT IS YOUR PLACE
