Senior Data Scientist

As a Dhurin senior data scientist, you will add value by producing actionable insights (we know this sounds cliché at this point) from our clients’ data. We expect you to be the bridge between the data and business.

You will be aligned to our “Insight and Prediction” service. Which means you get to answer both the questions. The ‘’why this could be so?’’ and ‘’how likely is this to happen?”. This needs you to be proficient in either statistical inference or machine learning. We believe both have their place in the data science ecosystem and in fact see great demand for both.

Our current body of work is slightly heavier on financial services and retail. But other businesses such as healthcare and manufacturing are gaining traction too. Please do highlight your industry experience and comfort as you apply. The senior part of the role will also require you to lead, manage, and coach the more junior data scientists. You will be their role model, after all.

Your work will involve some, if not all, of the below:

• Designing and running experiments
• Statistical inference
• Prediction
• Data analysis – involving pulling data, running analyses, and presenting
  findings
• Understanding the big picture of business

Good to have, but not a requirement:

• Some knowledge of version control
• Basic knowhow of S/W engineering

Educational background:

• Statistics or biostatistics
• Mathematics or operations research
