Job Summary
Pharmacy/ Retail Lead. Prefers someone who is local. Hospital experience required. Pharm
D preferred; 1-year residency; 2 years of lead/management experience; flexible days and hours (8 or 10 hour shifts).
Criteria
They need to have experience in management to be the PIC/lead; be able to lead and process scripts and perform all duties a pharmacist at the site; be flexible and their focus is the patient; be a good fit with the team.
Pharmacist
Process control substances according to policy and law in a timely manner; counsel patients; maintain current medication knowledge; flexibility to move where needed.
Essential Functions
- Pharm
D preferred; 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred - Three (2) years of pharmacist experience; minimum two (2) years in hospital practice preferred
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license;
Arizona license preferred - Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
- Directs, manages and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure high-quality service and compliance with standards
- Develops operational and financial outcome measures and quality improvement systems
- Directs, implements and evaluates departmental policies and procedures
- Continuously assesses program effectiveness and facilitates process improvement
- Develops and supervises staff through feedback and HR tools to achieve performance standards
- Plans, directs, implements and evaluates computer-based dispensing systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Manages purchasing and inventory to ensure cost-effective availability of pharmaceuticals
- Supports staff development and coordinates learning opportunities
- Prepares monthly progress/operational reports identifying areas for improvement
- Participates in orientation, training and quality assurance programs
- Engages in department and hospital educational programs to maintain skills; discusses needs with Supervisor
- Performs other duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years professional experience with two years in management
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy;
Pharm
D preferred with 1 year residency - Current and valid state Pharmacy license; license in Arizona preferred
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
