VP of Accounting

$200,000-$250,000 base salary (depending on experience)

Vaco has partnered with a respected logistics company seeking a VP of Finance and Accounting to join their team. This role offers a clear path for advancement toward a future CFO position, along with a flexible hybrid schedule and an attractive compensation package. You’ll oversee financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. You’ll also lead and develop accounting teams, drive process improvements and system upgrades, and collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.

Candidates with Big 4 experience, a CPA, and a blend of finance, accounting, and tax expertise are encouraged to apply.

• Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and internal controls in alignment with GAAP/IFRS
• Lead and develop accounting teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth
• Drive process improvements, system upgrades, and policy enhancements for efficiency and scalability
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights, trend analysis, and strategic recommendations
• Support special projects, including M&A and due diligence, with financial expertise and risk assessment

• Big 4 experience required
• CPA required
• Mix of Finance, Accounting, and Tax experience preferred

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
