Role DescriptionThe Instrumentation & Controls Technician is a full-time contract position for 6 to 8 months, on-site position based in Morenci, AZ. The role involves the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters. The technician will work collaboratively with the onsite team to ensure the reliability and accuracy of instrumentation, participate in onsite training, and adhere to safety and operational standards.
Regular communication with the engineering and maintenance team and reporting on tasks completed are also key responsibilities of the role.
- Proficiency in instrumentation installation, calibration, and maintenance
- Tech will have knowledge in configuration, calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation: level, Flow, Valves, conveyor scales, pH, Density
- Tech will have knowledge in Hart, Ethernetand general knowledge of other networks like Modbus, Profibus DP, Profinet, Devicenet
- Skills in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation
- Experience E&H, Rosemount and with HART Protocol.
- Review/update maintenance plans for instruments
- Develop work instructions and SOPs for PMs, troubleshooting and corrective tasks
- Implementation of a test bench
- Review/update spare part list for instruments (BOMs)
- Provide technical training in the field to technicians and supervisors regarding maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in industrial settings
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation inn English
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Relevant technical certifications or training in Instrumentation
