Senior Project Manager – AECOM, Guam

Job Summary / Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of small to large‑scale design projects across the project lifecycle – from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsibilities include planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, identifying scope creep, schedule or quality issues, and ensuring successful project delivery.

  • Manages one or more complex projects, involving the full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM.
  • Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects.
  • Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations.
  • Reviews contracts, prepares fee proposals, and project execution strategies.
  • Manages sub‑consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance.
  • Good presentation and communication skills in English, report and proposal writing skills.
  • Adheres to and enforces company and project policies.
  • Client relationships: primary liaison between AECOM and the client, assisting in developing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
  • Team leadership: good team leadership skills, self‑starter, energetic, proactive, providing guidance to subordinate managers or mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong team player.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering plus 6 years of project management related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computer‑aided design (AutoCAD).
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a Guam Professional Engineer Registration within 12 months.
  • Previous experience in leading projects with multi‑disciplinary teams to required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters, especially design‑focused projects.
  • Previous experience in maintaining client relationships and expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of planning and design processes, construction documentation, construction administration, and code requirements.
  • Experience managing concurrent projects in various stages of development and managing multiple project types with an emphasis on design, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Innovative problem solver with excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, and proven ability to manage people and projects through strong organization.
  • Strong skills in the full suite of MS Office applications.
  • Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities in support of the sales team.
  • Experience with Federal projects is a plus.
  • Experience with water/wastewater projects is a plus.
Additional Information
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in‑office work in Guam. The selected candidate must be available to work in Guam on a scheduled basis.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Compensation

USD 90,000 – USD 130,000 – yearly
