Student Engagement Assistant, Unbound Academy

This role is designed for individuals who excel at keeping students motivated, connected, and eager to participate—without the demands of curriculum design, testing, or traditional instruction.

Unbound Academy operates as a fully virtual, tuition‑free charter school where students complete their academic coursework efficiently with AI‑driven tools, then transition into live, facilitated workshops centered on personal development, teamwork, and real‑world skills. Your responsibility is to ensure these experiences feel seamless and engaging for every student.

You will serve as the operational backbone of the student experience. You'll facilitate smooth transitions, support small‑group dynamics, maintain energy and focus, and provide one‑on‑one encouragement when students need it. You won't deliver academic instruction—but the quality of the experience depends on your presence.

• Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing timing, and ensuring smooth group transitions
• Fostering student participation through active chat engagement, verbal recognition, gentle prompts, and personalized outreach
• Maintaining student motivation, confidence, and connection across the learning day
• Providing logistical and operational support to lead educators to ensure session continuity
• Serving as a reliable, familiar presence in student clubs and life‑skills programming

• Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject‑based content
• Developing lesson plans, evaluating assignments, or conducting academic assessments
• Building curriculum or facilitating workshops without supervision
• Operating in a passive or observational capacity—this role requires consistent, active involvement

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by keeping students engaged, organized, and motivated throughout every workshop session.

• Available to start on August 1, 2026
• At least 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
• Educational background within U.S., Canadian, or U.K. school systems (K–16); must have attended school in one of these countries
• Strong communication skills and high comfort operating across digital platforms
• Energizing, student‑first presence with strong attention to detail and smooth transitions
• Willing to work full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm U.S. Mountain Time (UTC‑7)
• Willing to work in a hybrid role in Arizona

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
