Special Education Teacher (Hearing Impairment) – $50/hr – Maricopa, AZ – 2025–2026 School Year Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher (Hearing Impairment) provides specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments across K–12 settings. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this educator delivers targeted instruction, supports communication access, assists with IEP development, and collaborates with general education and support staff to ensure students can fully participate in their academic environment.

Details Of Assignment- School-based SPED position supporting students with hearing impairments
- Direct instruction, communication-access support, and IEP case management
- Collaboration with teachers, interpreters, and related service providers
- Grade-level placement determined by district needs
- Virtual interview required
- Requires AZ SPED certification with Hearing Impairment endorsement
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for students with hearing impairments
- Support language, communication, auditory, academic, and self-advocacy skills
- Implement accommodations/modifications to ensure curriculum access
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, para educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and family communication
- Active Arizona SPED certification with Hearing Impairment endorsement
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
Bachelor’s degree preferred - CPR, TB screening, and health certificate if required
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
