TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Contracted 175 Days

COMPENSATION: $43,080 - $56,276 (based on 25/26 School Year)

HOURS: Monday
- Friday 40 hours per week

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

BENEFITS: As per District Policy

INCENTIVES: PGP, Summer Performance, SPED Teacher Stipend.

Additional Information

Professional Growth Plan Pay - paid out each semester if qualified - $1,000 per semester

Professional Performance Pay - paid out end of fiscal year - TBD - 22-23 school year average of $6,000

Additional Stipend of $2,000 paid out yearly for IEP Compliance.

Working Conditions

Join an amazing team of professional educators at Jack Daley Primary School, led by Principal Lin Gifford. The institution continues to receive high ratings from the Department of Education. The school schedule is a Modified 5 school day. School is scheduled for 4 academic days, Monday-Thursday with Friday being a 1/2 day for remediation/enrichment with professional development for the remainder of the contracted day.

FUNCTION

The general function of the Classroom Teacher is to work with students to increase their skills, knowledge, concepts and behaviors in both the cognitive and affective domains, consistent with district guidelines, goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Appropriate Arizona teaching certificate including SEI endorsement.
  • Physical and mental health which allows for proper discharge of job functions.
  • Personal characteristics which allow for the establishment of good rapport with students.
  • Willingness to update and improve job skills through continued formal education, in-service or other appropriate means.
  • Willingness to devote sufficient time to preparation in order that stated objectives can be met.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create a climate in which students can interact with the teacher and each other for a reasonable percentage of the time.
  • Plan curriculum, lessons and teaching methods.
  • Develop or secure curriculum materials designed to increase specific student skills.
  • Instruct individuals and groups in special and general education skill areas.
  • Apply classroom management techniques in order to achieve identified goals and objectives and to ensure that a proper physical environment is maintained.
  • Monitor students in areas outside of the classroom.
  • Keep appropriate records.
  • Adhere to district policies and administrative regulations.
  • Develop procedures which will foster good relations between the school and community and between the teacher and other district personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
RELATED PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Regular interaction with students and staff.
  • Close vision and focusing requirements.
  • Stooping, bending, climbing, turning, reaching, as necessary to access storage areas, file cabinets, etc.
  • Lifting, maneuvering, placing loads (25-30 lb..) i.e., booklets, paper and supply items, A-V equipment, etc.
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods of time, as in preparing/delivering instruction, assisting students, etc.
  • Operating standard office machines.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary as determined by the Board of Education. Annual performance evaluation in accordance with Governing Board policy.
