School Psychologist evaluates students for special education eligibility by administering and interpreting a wide range of individualized standardized assessment instruments in all psychological domains as well as determining appropriate placement or intervention methods. The school psychologist functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to determine the student’s eligibility for special services. The school psychologist may also be involved with academic and behavioral interventions, social skills groups, and crisis intervention.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are needed, and the psychologist must work cooperatively with all staff and communicate effectively with parents.

• Must have successfully completed a School Psychologist master’s program and meet the requirements of an Arizona School Psychologist certificate.
• Valid Arizona Teacher Certification / Endorsement consistent with assignment.
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.
