Location: Many Farms
Summary
This position is part of Many Farms High School, Bureau of Indian Education. As a Teacher (Chemistry/Physics) you will serve as a classroom teacher in a BIE school on or near the Reservation. The position requires a school‑year contract and will be renewed annually. Telework or remote consideration is not eligible.
Overview- Opening date: 12/22/2025
- Closing date: 01/12/2026
- Salary: $35.33–$70.11 per hour
- Prepare yearly instructional outlines and daily lesson plans covering relevant units of study.
- Teach students using appropriate instructional methods, techniques, and resources to provide academic achievement.
- Continuously evaluate academic progress using criteria‑reference tests, oral tests, and standardized tests; provide alternative instruction to meet individual needs.
- Make progress reports to parents, confer with parents and other concerned individuals, and maintain required records.
- Maintain control of the assigned class and handle discipline independently, providing counseling to individual students within established guidelines.

- A background security investigation will be required for all new hires; appointment subject to successful completion.
- A valid driver’s license is required for incidental duties involving motor vehicles.
- Must possess and maintain valid teacher licensure/certification in the state where the school is located and in the specialty field (Chemistry/Physics).
- This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.
- Valid teacher certification/licensure in the appropriate endorsement area; emergency and provisional certificates may be accepted under state authority.
