The Superintendent is responsible for overall direct field supervision of employees and multiple subcontractors, enforcing plans and specification requirements, ensuring production goals, craftsmanship standards, and safety practices. Experience building in mountain areas, preferably with border wall, is required. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
PRIMARY DUTIES- Lead and understand all aspects of civil construction field operations
- Work closely with Project Manager to assist with job scheduling and appropriate staffing needs
- Plan and coordinate all labor, materials, and equipment required to complete a project
- Monitor field productivity to ensure work is completed in a cost‑effective and professional manner
- Communicate professionally with Project Manager and subcontractors
- Assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of new team members
- Create and maintain good working relationships with all employees
- Interact with jurisdictional inspectors, architects, owners, and others
- Comply with all OSHA and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of construction superintendent experience
- Experience building in mountain areas, preferably with border wall
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Valid Driver’s License
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher’s Company Vehicle Program policy
- Strong organizational and communication skills; must give clear directions and instructions
- Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions, including heat above 100°F, cold, and rain
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test and government background check
