Construction Coordinator – Mechanical (Contract)
Location: Bagdad, AZ
Day Rate: $600
Rotation: 4 weeks onsite / 1 week off
Monthly Stipend: $750
Accommodation & Transportation: Provided
Schedule: Monday–Friday, project-driven hours
Requirement: Strong experience supervising mechanical contractors in heavy industrial environments.
Role SummarySite-based contractor responsible for coordinating mechanical construction activities from execution planning through commissioning and handover. Emphasis on HSE, contractor oversight, constructability, schedule adherence, and quality execution
. Reports to the Project Construction Manager.
- Coordinate day-to-day mechanical construction execution through commissioning.
- Lead execution planning, phasing, and scheduling with focus on constructability and HSEC compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical contractors and field crews
. - Interface with site leadership, EPCM partners, Project Controls, HSE, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule.
- Ensure quality control of in-progress and completed work.
- Promote safe, environmentally responsible work practices.
- Support KPI development and daily performance tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 5+ years construction management experience
- OR High School diploma/GED with 9+ years progressive field construction experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction, contractor management, and field execution
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Willing to work rotational, site-based assignment
- Heavy industrial or mineral processing project experience
- EPCM field coordination experience
- Experience with large capital projects (> $1B)
- Lean Construction and advanced planning experience
- Heavy equipment installation background
- KPI and labor forecasting experience
