Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

Provide frontline supervision of all loading activities during the shift to ensure safe, efficient execution of the mine plan while meeting performance, quality, and design specifications.

Lead daily safety lineouts and toolbox talks; conduct workplace examinations; ensure berm heights, pit floor conditions, dust control, and blast exclusion zones meet safety and design standards. Serve as the initial incident responder, secure scenes, gather statements and evidence, and enter incidents into company systems.

Directly supervise Mine Technicians and equipment operators as assigned. Manage crew attendance, vacation scheduling, fatigue monitoring, and wellness checks. Administer positive recognition and corrective discipline in accordance with company policies and labor agreements.

Supervise all loading fronts to meet shift plans and production targets. Monitor loading unit performance, haul truck operator performance, tonnage, productivity, and quality digging practices. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, including crusher feed and pit congestion, to maintain continuous material flow.

Track and manage hourly payroll, KPIs, and productivity metrics within the work area. Evaluate equipment operators and provide timely feedback to support performance improvement and accountability.

Ensure pit floor quality, loading area conditions, and operating practices support safe and efficient equipment operation. Verify…
