Aboutthe Role
The Accounting Clerk will support JK Companies’ accounting and finance operations through accurate, timely, and high-volume transactional processing. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys structured work, data entry, and keeping financial records organized and up to date. The Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of day-to-day financial activity while supporting the broader accounting team.
WhatYou Will Be DOING
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Processing:
Enter, code, and process vendor invoices, customer billings, and payments with a high degree of accuracy. - Payroll & Invoicing Support:
Assist with payroll data entry, invoicing, and time/cost tracking in coordination with internal teams. - Data Entry & Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate accounting records in Quick Books, including vendor files, customer accounts, and supporting documentation. - Account Reconciliations:
Perform basic reconciliations (bank, credit cards, AP/AR aging) and flag discrepancies for review. - Month-End Support:
Assist the accounting team with month-end close tasks such as data validation, schedule preparation, and reporting support. - Administrative & Audit Support:
Prepare documentation and schedules to support audits and internal reviews.

High level of accuracy and consistency when handling financial data. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel; comfortable working with accounting and construction ERP systems. - Organization & Time Management:
Ability to manage repetitive tasks, deadlines, and multiple priorities. - Communication
Skills:
Clear and professional written and verbal communication. - Reliability:
Strong follow-through and accountability for assigned tasks.
- Associate’s degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or data-entry-heavy finance experience
- Experience in construction or project-based environments a plus
